Meet Strawberry Shortcake! This adorable Dachshund mix has a reddish-brown coat with patch of white on her chest, short bowed front legs, long body and tail, and large floppy ears. She was found as a stray and left unclaimed at a shelter. Strawberry has a delightful personality and is a real lovebug. She walks well on a leash and adores attention.
House trained: Yes! Good with others: Yes! Respects others boundaries. Food: Good appetite, no resource guarding. Walks: Fabulous on leash. Knows name: Yes! Comes when called. Only drawback: A little needy, but "no" addresses whining. Crate: Slept through night! Knows "sit", "come", and "stay" ! What a sweetheart!!
When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.
