Update from the foster home:

Gunner is a very happy guy! He loves to play, spent some time with a kitty and has a great temperament for dog-pals. Then again, he loves to hang out, lays quietly on the floor and enjoys some couch surfing too. Very loving, spreads his kisses equally and is always ready for a walk. He walks pretty well on his leash, has some pulling but want to be with his people so he likes to hang out by us.

He sleeps through the night, currently in his kennel. ready for the morning walk when we wake up. He is quiet, barking only when the vacuum is cranked up. He was off to do battle with that loud machine! Gunner is kenneled during the day while his foster family is at work.

Gunner is house trained, one of the fastest eaters I have ever seen and has soft mouth for his treats. He is an all around sweet guy.

He is really a great dog, very active, always ready to play. He likes fetching and chewing on his toys. Gunner knows "sit" and almost got "shake" down, too. He loves his food and treats that’s for sure. He is great with the resident dog in his foster home and their 9 year old kid. He really seems to love everyone and got adjusted to being with his foster family really fast. He is quick to give “kisses” as well. Gunner would make a good addition to any family that can keep up with his energy level.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
