Here are some of the great things about our Smokey Joe:
-Completely Housebroken! -Crate Trained! -Very Loyal! -Knows a Ton of commands such as sit, lay down, stay, come, go to your kennel, out, go upstairs, open the door, etc! -LOVES being brushed! -Doesn't jump up on people! -Loves all children from 2 to 22 as well as their hugs and kisses. -He is not a guard dog, he will let all the neighborhood kids come in and out of the door without a blink of an eye. -Does great with dogs of all sizes (currently living with a chihuahua and a husky & has had play dates with a westie, yorkies, labs, large dog mixes) - Has handled a territorial unneutered male dog who was growling and snapping at him without any reaction -Walks loose leash and heals perfectly when walked solo but has also lead many 4 dog pack walks. He gets super excited about going on walks! -Loves his squeaky toys and will do anything if you promise to give him one1 -Loves playing fetch! - Command driven, I even got him to stop dead in his tracks and return to me when he was chasing a squirrel! -Thinks he is a lap dog and wants to cuddle with you all the time! -Doesn't beg, and will lay down and wait patiently while you eat your dinner -Managed to pick up and understand our household schedule in about a week and knows when we are all coming and going and when to expect us back -He does not seem to like cats, although he is living with 2 of them we just have them separated. I believe he just doesn't know what they are but he is learning to live with them (with a gate separating them, of course)
We love him to bits and would keep him for ourselves if we didn't already have a full house! Smokey would be a great addition your family!

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.
