Hi.  My name is Buddy.  My paw writing is not very good so my foster Dad is helping me write my story so that you can learn a little bit more about me and hopefully consider to be my forever family.  I really like staying with my foster family but know that this is only a temporary home. I have 3 step brothers who I get along with very well.  I love to play with other dogs and would do well in a home with another dog.  I have never been around cats so I cannot tell you how I would react if I have to live with one.

I am really good to walk on a leash.  My foster Dad takes me for a one mile walk every morning and I am very well behaved.  I do my business outside always and will let you know when I need to go outside. If I need to go outside, I usually will place my chin on your leg if you are sitting and stare at you with my big brown eyes then walk to the door and back.

I do well in a kennel at night but prefer to be close to people.  My foster Dad lets me sleep on his bed at night.  I do not crowd in bed but do usually sleep with my chin resting on his leg.  I love to cuddle in laps when everyone is watching TV and be close by.

I do not like vacuum cleaners and will bark at them if used around me.  I think a lot of dogs do not like vacuum cleaners but thought you should know this about me.  I am crated during the day when no one is home.  I like to have a stuffed toy with me when I am crated.  I do chew them but do not chew furniture or bother anything in the house.

I love to play fetch outside and my step brother and I often play tug of war.  I will bark the first few days when left alone crated but settle down once I learn your routine and I know you will be returning home.  I like to have another dog with me in my crate and settle down much sooner when one of my step brothers is with me.

I have loads of personality that will never cease to please and amuse you.   I have become a loyal shadow to my foster Dad and will be loyal to you too if you want to make me yours.   I would do best in a home with a fenced in yard.  I'm a good listener, and my foster Dad is helping me to learn my manners.  I am a curious fellow and if I am outside not on a leash I want to investigate other people to say hi my name is Buddy or say hi to other dogs who may be on a walk with their special person.

So, now you know more about me than just a cute face in a picture.  If you like what you have read and have room in your home and heart for me, you will find my name fits my personality and loyalty because I will be your forever Buddy.

Please consider giving this cute puggle a forever home.

He will love you forever!
Thank you!

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters.

How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.

Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed.

If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
