SITTING ALONE IN A COLD, CONCRETE CELL FOR 3 MONTHS.... BUNNY HAS FOUND A FOSTER HOME!
IS NOW LOOKING FOR A FOREVER HOME!

Our hearts SUNK when we found out that Bunny has been wasting away in a concrete cell- all alone for 3 entire months at a pound!

What a horribly lonely life this girl has had to face- every single day! But she is now in a loving foster home- being well cared for as she looks for a forever family to adopt her!

After spending time with Bunny - we are all so impressed with what a sweet little punkin' she is! She's wonderful!

Found as a stray, she has gone so long without the love and affection she craves. And she is such a GREAT DOG!
Loving and sweet- so willing to try and please you!

Bunny has a lot of energy and needs a person who will be able to help her channel that energy in a healthy, fun
way. In the summer, take her running - play ball or frisbee with her. In winter - brisk walks! I don't think she cares what the activity is- as long as she can be with you!

Bunny is very social - that's an understatement. She is desperate to find someone to whom she can bond- because she certainly has a lot of love to give. It pretty obvious that Bunny will make a loyal best friend to someone out there.

Bunny seems to be just fine with other dogs.

This girl is a jumper of athletic proportions. She will shoot straight up in the air in her kennel - probably because she is dying to get out (who wouldn't be after 3 months?) I don't think she will ever want to see another kennel again once she leaves the pound - poor baby!

Bunny has a luscious, deep, dark chocolatey brown coat that you'd swear was pure velvet- and she sports a white bib on her chest. (although her pictures make her coat look black)
She has the cutest little monkeyface- her muzzle is short and sort of stubby. And she gets this deep wrinkle between her eyes when she looks worried - ohhhhh- she will melt your heart as soon as you meet her!!!!

She is so ready to start her new life and soak up all the love she can get.

This is one dog that cannot be truly appreciated unless and until you meet her face to face!!

***IMPORTANT NOTE***

We're standing strong against the bad rap that all dogs in the bully breed category have gotten! We have to remember that it's PEOPLE who have mistreated them- used and abused them! And as a result of the torture some endure at the hands of HUMANS- many are deemed unadoptable.

In fact, many wonderful pit bulls end up paying the ultimate price- with their lives- simply because they happened to be born a pit bull!

We know there are so many of you out there who truly "get this" and we appreciate you!

While it does require a bully savvy person to adopt and care for a Pit Bull, an American Staffordshire Terrier, or any bully for that matter, please know that the bullies we take into our rescue and place into adoptive homes are temperament tested and all have passed with flying colors. Yet and still, it must be borne in mind that this is a breed that is strong, determined and powerful. Never to be taken for granted- and always to be supervised when around other pets. This is a fact.

The more you can educate yourself about this breed, the more we as a society, can work to try and turn things around for them! THEY ARE ALL BORN INNOCENT!

They are not to be feared- but rather loved and treated with respect and kindness.
We are looking for people who understand and value this loving, loyal breed as much as we do!

If you can offer Bunny the best home ever and are interested in adopting this wonderful girl, please fill out an application found on our main website, www.midwestanimalrescue.org

Thanks!

WHAT A DIFFERENCE YOU WILL BE MAKING IN THE LIFE OF SUCH A DESERVING GIRL!

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters.

How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.

Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed.

If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
