Description:
Pick me! I'm the pup for you!! My name is Simon and I came to rescue when my owner 'dad' died. It's very sad to lose someone you love. Now I'm looking for a brand new home to love me . I'm a very sweet boy with nothing but good intentions. I love everyone I meet, and I just love to give hugs and kisses! If you haven't guessed I'm full of life and spirit yet am ever so gentle. I have an outgoing personality and I like to keep occupied. Playing with toys is just great, and I would love a big yard to play in, a fenced yard would be ideal...maybe we could go walking/jogging together? I'm pretty submissive and I aim to please. If I do something wrong I try to make it better, and I'm a very good listener. I need very little little guidance and am a most perfect pup ever!! I'm perfectly house trained, perfectly mannerly, I love other dogs big and small, and I love living with a pre-schooler in my foster home! Kids love me, I love them! A quote from his foster... This is Simon's first northern winter - his first time ever experiencing SNOW! "It is so funny, Simon just loves it!, I was watching him play in the back yard. He will run as fast as he can and then slide on his butt across the grass. Then do it all over again..I love it." Simon is a great dog who fell on bad times. His owner was taken from him too soon and he really deserves to find his new FOREVER home. He is gentle and he just loves everyone. Simon is a beautiful dog who appears to be a German Shepherd/Redbone boy and he is just as sweet as can be! He currently lives with a small breed dog and a pre school-er in his foster home. His foster dad is a peace officer who is accustomed to training dogs. Simon is currently showing off his knowledge of basic commands. He walks well on a leash even though he tends to pull to socialize with other dogs when on a walk! Simon also gets along great with everyone, including other dogs. We are looking for a home with a fenced yard and access to other/ another dog so he can PLAY, PLAY, PLAY with! Today as this is written, Simon, his foster grandma, foster dad, foster sister, foster sibling, and a friend and her toddler will be going to the Kite Festival at one of the city lakes. He's crowd, event, and all dog friendly enough to take along for the fun!!! Won't you find it in your heart to give this boy a chance at the life he once knew? Please feel free to fill out an Adoption Application on our main website, www.midwestanimalrescue.org, by clicking on the Form/Applications link under Website Features. Thank You! When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
