Description:
Spike is a great dog that really loves people! He responds very well to routine, does fine on a leash, and is housetrained. He has some male dominant tendencies, but is easily corrected with a “no” or “uh-uh.” From what we know, he doesn’t do the greatest with other dogs or with cats, as he just wants your attention all to himself! He doesn’t really have interest in chasing balls or a disc, but he does love to go for walks and likes to chase the occasional squirrel :) He rarely ever barks, but occasionally he’ll howl (usually when he hears sirens). So far he doesn’t seem to like going downstairs. He seems perfectly content with hanging out in his little “area.” Although he does just fine in a crate, he can usually be trusted to just hang out while you’re away. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.
