Description:

This is Brady!!

A big, strong, handsome, happy-go-lucky boy with tons of kisses to share.

Brady loves being outside, playing fetch, and running, running, running.
His house manners need a little improvement, as he is a very active dog
that wants to go and go.  His size and strength may not be a good match
for smaller children, but Brady would love having older kids to play with.

His favorite command is "come."  You don't have to tell him twice.  He
would be very good off-leash hiking, or at the dog park, or in the woods,
etc.  Brady would love a home with a big back yard with other dogs to
keep him company, or on a farm with lots of things to explore and smell.

Brady doesn't chew, counter surf, or bark unnecessarily.  He is crate
trained, and sleeps quietly in it all night long.  He gets along great
with small and large dogs, and never argues about a thing.  He loves playing tag and keep away with his doggy friends in the back yard.
Brady will settle down so nice and soak up the love with a nice chest or belly scratch.

Brady is definitely going to make a very loyal friend to
a lucky family.

Look what my foster family says about me!!

We can’t believe he is the same dog we brought home!  He fits into our household really well.  He gets along  with our two labs.

He is a very strong,  high energy dog and needs a lot of  exercise every day in order to be calm in the house.  He is very loving and is learning very quickly.  He didn’t really know what to do when we started throwing toys for the dogs to retrieve.  At first, he just ran with our dogs when they retrieved.  After a few throws he figured out that he should pick the toy up and now loves to  retrieve.

He is fully potty trained, with no accidents at all.  He comes when you call his name immediately.  He loves running in our large, fenced in yard.  After a few days of  having  freedom in the house, he didn’t want to go in the crate.  I don’t want to force him and scare him, so I throw a small treat in the crate.  Now he goes right in before  I throw a treat in.   My work day  is the only time he is in the crate.

He sleeps in the living room with our dogs at night on one of the doggie beds.  When I’m making dinner he lays at my feet.  He follows me around the house a lot also.  He pays attention if he hears something outside and runs to the door.

He enjoys our morning walks every day before work and running in the yard when I get home.  He is a really nice boy.   When he is excited, he does jump so little kids would need to stay a little distance until he calms down.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters.

How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.

Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed.

If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
