Hello,

My name is Serenity, I'm looking for a new family to call my very own. One day, I was lost in a great big city and ended up at a pound full of sadness. I would jump up to say hello at all the people who would pass by my kennel to take other lost dogs home and I was often ignored no matter how cute my songs and dances were, they never won the prize of being walked out on a leash with a happy family on the other end of it.

I cannot believe that my family never came looking for me ;0( Hey do you have an extra bed at your house for me? I promise to warm your heart with lots of daily kisses! Please fill out an application so we can meet ;0)

Serenity, aka Pip (short for Pipsqueak - she's just a little over 30lbs), has been doing wonderfully in her foster home. She is now 100% potty trained and crate trained. She gets along great with her doggy foster siblings, and goes to doggy day care three times a week where she loves to run, jump and play with her favorite things in the world - toys! After those big days at daycare Pip comes home to be the greatest little snuggler in the world :) In addition to getting some awesome doggy socialization in her foster home, Pip has shown her foster mom that she is one smart puppy. She mastered her "sit" command and just learned "shake" in about 20 minutes! She's still working on "lay down" and, most importantly, to control her energy when she greets new human friends. Although Pip is a very excited and happy little girl who LOVES people, she may be better suited for families with children big enough to remind her not to jump up.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
