Description:
FOREVER HOME NEEDED FOR OUR BOY BUTCH!

This poor dude came to MARS from another rescue that took in Butch, and his sister, after another rescue's founder wound up with cancer and passed away. Our prayers went out to her and her family and now we need an answer for Butch! His sister found a forever family, can you provide that for Butch? Please help us get this guy into a foster home, or better yet a forever home ASAP!

Butch is an active boy with "big puppy" energy, and was doing well in his foster home. Unfortunately his foster was unable to keep Butch since the apartment complex changed the rules about allowing dogs. So Butch had to go back to his spot at the boarding kennel. He is OK with other dogs and loves having play buddies, but when introduced to cats he showed a little too much enthusiasm for us to be comfortable with him going into a home with cats right away. He is a very fast learner who really wants to please his people. He is confident and curious in new situations, and loves to ride in the car. Butch is just a happy, goofy, cuddly boy who is looking for a family to love. Are you that family? He is the all american dog that will be at home next to the couch or even an old victrola! ;0)

Butch has spent way too much time in boarding. Because of this reason only, the other rescue reached out to MARS because of our ability to save dogs and get them to good families. They all want the best for Butch and realize that being in a smaller town with less access to fosters, and adopters.  We made a promise to help Butch for them and now we need you to help Butch find that perfect spot to lay his head.

One of the coolest things about Butch is he absolutely loved to greet little kids
. His former foster walked him by a few school bus stops on their usual walks and the kids always asked to pet Butch. Butch loved to give them kisses, and was instinctively very gentle with them.

Butch would ultimately make a really great kids' therapy dog.

As you can tell everyone loves Butch and they all just want the best for him. Again that is why the asked us to help with him!

Why not take this opportunity to make a huge difference in the life of a sweet boy who needs some help?

Please feel free to fill out an ADOPTION APPLICATION on our main website,

Thank You
  or

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters.

How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.

Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed.

If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
