Description:

This little guy is such a sweetheart! He LOVES his people and is such a snugglebug. He has mastered the art of being a lap dog! Sean is amazing with respectful kids and has not shown any aggression or bad behavior. He is loving and adores all of the attention a family can give him!

Sean loves to go on walks and play with toys. He will play with toys alone, play fetch or run circles in the house with other dogs. When walking on a leash, Sean will react to other people or dogs by barking at them, but he will correct and look to you for direction. He is working on training to not initially respond. Sean is shy with people on his first initial meet, but only takes a few minutes to warm up. He is a typical Chihuahua and will warn you when someone is at the door. Sean will also whine when you leave, but he settles in fine once you walk about the door. When you come home, he will greet you with enthusiasm and give you lots of kisses because he missed you so much!!

Sean would benefit from another dog in the house to learn socialization skills, but it is not necessary. If you are willing to work with him and introduce him slowly to other dogs and people, he will be great and continue to learn.

Sean does need to be on a potty schedule. He needs to continue to work on potty training and does have a few accidents in the house. He could be pad trained, but would need direction.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
