Meet Sisi!

Sisi was abandoned outside of a Petsmart in a metal crate covered with cardboard.  Inside the crate was a bed and bowls with food and water.  Written on the cardboard was a note that said "My owners cannot afford me anymore".

This little girl was TERRIFIED.

She was taken home by a caring person who helped to work through some of her fears.  She still takes a few minutes to warm up to new people, but give her an hour, and she'll be your best friend, wanting snuggles and to give you love! She loves attention and to be held, get belly rubs and baby talks.  She can be a bit vocal when excited, but calms down when told to do so.

She is very playful, and will entertain herself with toys, or play with them with you. She likes to run as fast as her tiny legs will take her in the yard for brief spurts, then, she's done and just wants hang out and be near you. She LOVES walks and does well on a long leash, but she doesn't require tons of exercise.  She loves affection and playing, but if you're busy doing something, she happily just camps out somewhere nearby, watching what you're up to, without getting underfoot. She's such an easy dog!

Sisi is potty trained and will stand by the door when she needs to go outside. She's been kenneled during the day, and can make it a full work day without accident. She's been left alone for short periods in the house without being crated, and she does fine. She reliably sleeps outside the kennel at night. She'd love someone who would let her curl up next to them in bed at night (she doesn't take up much space!), but she's fine settling into a dog bed at night too.

Sisi would do best in an adult home (or with older kids) who will give her some adjustment time and appreciate her sweet personality. She does fine with cats and other submissive dogs, but doesn't have much interest in interacting with the dogs in her foster home, and wishes they would just not bother her. She would probably prefer to be an only dog because she loves all the attention to herself! She wants to be in charge/be the boss, and that has led to her not getting along with some dogs.

Sisi has such an endearing, loving personality, and makes her foster family laugh all of the time. She's so much fun to have around, and will make a great addition to a new family!
