Description:
Due to no fault of his own Bubba's potential adoptive family didn't work out. They wanted a crazy energy level dog & Bubba just doesn't need tremendous exercise. A few nice walks a day & he's happy. Bubba is just a calm dude, especially with the heat we've been having.

They also wanted him to constantly play with their other dog & that's not Bubba either. He likes other dogs alot but he just doesn't really care one way or the other if other dogs are around. He just really wants to be with the family.

This is Bubba, the names he answers to are Bubba or Bubbers or Bubby, he is a very loving purebred golden retriever.

If you've been a long time lover of golden retrievers and always wanted one of your own you can't go wrong with Bubba!

He was rescued from life at a puppy mill but you'd never know it because he's not in the least scared of people. He has unlimited love, kisses & cuddles for everyone he meets. He's also completely housebroken & we don't even need to kennel him. He also, mostly, comes when you call him.

He has liked every dog we've introduced him to & doesn't even mind the cats!

He's on the bigger side & has the energy level of a healthy young retriever so he needs his play & walks every day. I'd say he has the energy level 6/7 out of 10.

Bubba is learning to sit at the door and wait to be called outside. If he does go for a walk on his own, he will jump right in the car when you drive up. If you'd like to meet Comet aka Bubba just fill out the adoption or foster application and we will be happy to schedule that.

URGENT: Bubba needs a temporary foster home, while we work to find a forever home. We provide the food and cover all authorized medical expenses.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
