Meet Sherbert! He is a great little guy, with some pep in his step!! Sherman loves to be outside, play fetch, car rides ( prefers to ride shotgun) does well on walks, and of course cuddling. He has met and spent some time with kids and he didn’t mind the older kids but was not a fan of the toddler. He gets along well with most other dogs he has met. He is not a big fan of being crated but once he is coaxed inside one he will typically settle down. Sherbert is a pretty typical Chi that needs some boundaries and someone who understands the mentality of the breed. He would do best in a fairly active home that can get him some exercise outdoors which he loves and then enjoy the hours of cuddling he has to offer! *Sherbert was treated for heartworm and is doing GREAT! It is recommended that he be kept on monthly heartworm preventative year round.
When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
