Meet Gus,

Gus is a people loving sweetheart of a dog! He has his story to tell though. He has a lot of scars on his muzzle, currently has an infection in his eye and was just diagnosed with Heartworm. (He is being treated.)

None of that matters to Gus.

He is an amazingly happy, friendly boy considering everything he has been through.

Gus appears to be a "heinz 57 mix". He is the color of a golden retriever, but with some brindling. Some of the hair on his back is the texture of a husky.

Gus needs a foster home without small kids or dogs, that can keep him quiet for a few weeks while he recovers from his heartworm treatments. He also needs time to focus on himself, and not be worried about what other dogs may do to him.

Gus is a lover, not a fighter. It's not his fault that other dogs attacked him. He is very gentle. He just wants to be with people and to cuddle right in to the crook of your arm. He wants someone to save him. Will it be you?
