Description:
Grover got Adopted before ever leaving the Vet's Office, One of the Board Member's at the Vet's office fell in love with him, took him home to help him heal and couldn't let him go. Yay!!!! Grover!!!! Meet Grover, Halloween has passed, but unfortunately monsters exist year round, as does real Evil. One very sweet puppy fell into the hands of just such a demon: Meet little Grover. He has been bit and bit and bit, over and over, what a nightmare! Each limb bears the scars, his behind is scabbed with furless areas, and his face shows horrific wounds in every stage of healing. One ear has a large torn chunk missing. A portion of his lip is destroyed and dangling. The tender puppy skin will never again be perfect, ripped by savage bites that had to be agony to endure. So how has this affected his personality? Does he hate humans and dogs? To the contrary, Grover is clingy, seeking comfort and stroking. He's agreeable to everyone, and seems to desire nothing so much as to find a person to press against and feel safe again. Some of the wounds have barely begun to heal, and he hurts. Yet he has already forgiven. Grover's sole ambition is to give his whole loving heart to someone who could never think to treat him with violence. He survived the demon, and is now hoping hard for his Angel to appear. The vet has Grover on a course of antibiotics for now, and his physical recovery is ongoing. He's feeling just a bit better. He wags and has tried to play with a soft toy, as if he remembers enjoying those just a few months ago, when he was a little younger. Unfortunately, he can't do too much with them yet, as someone has knocked his upper teeth out. But he will heal, in time. He will have fun again. And hopefully, Grover will find the home that truly deserves his devoted puppy love. Could that home be yours? Grover is on his way to MARS, so he can find a second chance in life. He will be arriving on Friday, Nov 21st, and needs a foster home upon arrival. URGENT: Grover needs a temporary foster home, while we work to find a forever home. We provide the food and cover all authorized medical expenses. You simply provide a safe, loving home! Why not take this opportunity to make a huge difference in the life of a sweet boy who needs some help? Contact us to find out how easy it is to get involved in foster care. Please feel free to fill out an Adoption or Foster application on our main website, www.midwestanimalrescue.org, by clicking on the Form/Applications link under Website Features. Thank You! When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
